Wisemec Predator 228W Kit Review

The Predator 228W is a follow up to Wisemec’s Reuleaux RX series. The vape kit has been pitted against the Smok Alien 220W by many reviewers and often comes out on top.

The Wisemec Predator 228W Kit is composed of the company’s Predator 228W Mod and its Elabo sub ohm tank. This vape kit fits in the hands nicely and has a stylish appearance. The mod has a dimension of 86.7mm by 43.6mm by 29mm with a weight of 166.2g while the atomizer has a dimension of 52.8 by 25mm with a weight of 59.8g.

The Wisemec Elabo Tank is made of stainless steel and glass. It has a stainless steel Delrin drip tip. You can replace it with any standard 510 drip tip.

The Elabo sub ohm tank has a simple top filling system. All you have to do is pop up and slide the drip tip and top cap to access the tank’s filling holes. The tank comes with two coils. There is an NS Triple 0.25ohm coil head (40W to 120W) which is non-threaded. Using this coil, the tank capacity is 4.6ml. The other coil is a threaded triple 0.2ohm coil head (40W to 80W). Both coils are fitted with organic Japanese cotton. The non-threaded coil will allow more airflow than the threaded one.

The elabo tank has adjustable airflow slots at its lower portion. You can open and close these airflow slots by turning the tank. There is a

The Wisemec Predator 228W Mod is made of zinc alloy. You will find the Sinuous logo on this mod as it was designed by the US-based company. It runs on two rechargeable 18650 batteries which can produce up to 228W/50A. The battery compartment is located beneath the mod. The device has a quick charging system and can take a maximum current of 2A when charging. There are two large ventilation holes at the bottom of the mod to keep the battery from overheating.

You can use the Predator 228W Mod as a power bank to charge other devices like your smartphone, tablet, or even a drone. To do this, you need to connect a reverse charger (RC) adapter to the 510 spring-loaded connector on top of the mod. No RC adapter comes with this vape kit and you need to purchase one separately to use the mod as a power bank.

There is a large firing switch on the side of the Predator 228W. This is really convenient as you do not need to position a single finger on it to start vaping. An OLED screen is located on the side of the mod along with a button for controlling the settings and a USB port. The package includes a micro USB cable that can be used to charge the mod or upgrade it.

The OLED screen on this mod shows the usual information such as resistance, wattage, and battery level. The mod supports many modes including wattage, temperature control, and TCR. In temperature control mode, you can choose to set it for either nickel, titanium or stainless steel wire coils. In temperature control modes, the mod has a resistance range of 0.05ohm to 1.5ohm. However, in wattage mode, it’s resistance range is 0.1ohm to 3.5ohm. Overall, the interface on the OLED screen is not very different from that of other mods on the market.

The Wisemec Predator 228W is a solid vape kit with excellent build quality. It provides enough wattage for both beginners and seasoned vapers.

The Wisemec Predator 228W Kit is available in many different colors including black, red/black, white/black, gold/black, silver/black, silver, silver/bronze, black/bronze, orange/silver and green/beige. You can get this vape kit for about $52.95 in any popular vape store.
